Contrapuntal Compositions in a Series: The Body is in the Mind

This mixed media series contains contrapuntal compositions which combine the opposing voices of the cerebral (as expressed in the highly thought out forms achieved in Adobe Illustrator that become either a silkscreen or a laser cut stencil or alternatively, a very patterned linocut) and it’s opposite (a more emotional colorist’s gestural style of painting).  My intent is to bring about an awareness of our tangible true selves, where careful thoughts and welling emotions converge.
